Our Process

Assessment

When we arrive on site we will assess your home, taking pictures of the damage & documenting what is needed to start.

Removal

Water will be extracted, non-salvageable materials will then be removed and a treatment will be applied to inhibit mold growth.

Drying & Monitoring

Once all water damaged material has been removed, drying equipment will be placed – this will include large air movers and dehumidifiers. Our technicians will stop by every 24 hours to check moisture levels, monitor the drying process, and as needed.

Claim Assistance

You are our client, not your insurance company. We will, however, communicate with your insurance company and send the information for your claim directly to them – no need to be the go-between!

Frequently Asked Questions

When we receive your call, we will discuss the urgency of your situation. When a water loss has an emergent need, we do our best to have a team member on site within a couple of hours; in a non-emergent situation, a team member will be sent either the same day or the next day.

If there is no insulation behind your wall, we will be able to drill holes (easier to patch) to dry the walls and they’ll end up stronger! If there is insulation behind the wall, it won’t dry and has to be removed. Per IICRC standards, we will cut 1 foot above the highest water level. Drywall is similar to a candle wick; once it gets wet, the wetness will continue to spread until it’s either removed or dried.

We will work with your insurance company, and oftentimes the out-of-pocket cost will be your deductible.

Every situation is different. We don’t expect you to understand the process but we’re here to walk you through it.

This company is incredibly responsible, they took care of a home flood 1 had professionally and timely. They protected all other areas of the house immediately and they clean up after themselves very well.

We had a water leak in the property that cause a lot of water to flood through the floor to the basement. They came out the same day we called them and were very thorough in their assessment and recommendations so we were able to move to the next steps quickly. Highly recommend.

Dwayne, Stephanie and their team were excellent to work with. Efficient and responsive. Could not ask for a better experience in a trying time.

They were very professional and clean. I was impressed with the quality of service.

We have never had to use a restoration service, but Hurricane Helene changed that. We signed up for waiting lists for various companies, and Appalachian was the first to respond. And we’re glad they did. Knowledgeable and friendly folks who carefully guided us through the insurance maze as well as provided first rate services regarding our necessary interior cleaning, renovations and exterior painting. All subcontractors were great to work with and the communications from the Appalachian team was superior throughout especially our contact Dywane Owenby. Highly recommended!

Appalachian Restoration+ Cleaning was wonderful to work with. The team was kind, professional, and very knowledgeable. They showed up when they said they would, explained everything clearly, and made a stressful situation so much easier to handle. I’m really grateful for their help and would happily recommend them to anyone who needs restoration services.
